An adventure at the Pueblo Zoo

Morgan was obviously needing a change of scenery today so I decided instead of walking at the pond we would take a last minute trip to the Pueblo Zoo in Pueblo's City Park.
We got there an hour before they closed were able to get in and out in exactly that amount of time. Morgan only being nine months old still has a very short attention span so we didn't have to look at the animals for too long. Boy was I happy about that because the zoo had a VERY strong urine odor...everywhere. I had heard that the Ft. Worth Zoo was one of the best, but I had taken it for granted until this moment. Morgan clearly liked the birds and ducks the most.

The Cockatoo was her favorite. She had just learning to nod her head yes with Daddy and now here was a bird, nodding it's head up and down at her as if it were saying yes. So here we were with the two of them (Morgan and the bird) nodding at each other and her laughing and looking at me as if to say, "look Mommy, he knows it too!" She also liked the North American River Otter and how it swam right up to her in the glass window.
